The Musgraves

A new band based somewhere in the Midlands, The Musgraves has already been noticed in the UK, due to its very distinctive sound, both musical and vocal. With the banjo, the mandolin, the ukulele, and the violin among the instruments, the group’s music seems at least in part to stem from the Appalachia of the British imagination – though some numbers reprise the sound of the high school dances of years long gone by. And even so, those who’ve come of age in the era of house music or later may find that they too can dance to it.
