Giovanni Dettori

A composer in Milan, Giovanni Dettori is well-known for his efforts to revive the fugue as a musical form, the most notable result thereof being his “Lady Gaga Fugue,” which has been performed in no less a venue than the BBC Proms, not to mention its being a favorite among many younger musicians, in various arrangements for different instruments. But his work in other areas, though less well-known, is just as interesting.
