Today, in view of the upcoming Gay Pride weekend, let’s have a bit of Jean Genet.

Here are two versions of “Le Condamné à mort” set to music by Hélène Martin – in the first she’s also the singer.

While it’s Etienne Daho who sings in this one, with some narration by Jeanne Moreau.

And let’s not miss a chance to show Genet’s film Chant d’amour – though it is most probably not safe for work, and prudes would do well to avoid it at any time.
